Depending on how you wish to spend your vacation, either relaxing in our sparkling pool in front of the Pacific, or exploring nearby villages (Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, San Pancho, etc.) and tropical beaches, renting can sometimes be a necessity. The town is about a 15 minute walk along the beach, and the local buses can also be used. The casa also has two bikes for guest use. But for those who wish to get out and about, renting a vehicle is a good idea.
In such a case. a private garage with remote door opener is provided at the casa, for our guests who own or rent a vehicle.

Gecko), located right in Bucerias. We support local businesses, and this is one of them. Gecko is owned and operated by Dennis, a transplanted Canadian. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they have an excellent fleet of new vehicles. Of course, they speak perfect English. As part of their service, they will pick you up from the airport in Puerto Vallarta (and drop you off there when your vacation is over).
We recommend Gecko because unlike the Seinfeld quote above, these folks actually know how to hold reservations in addition to taking them. We have heard too many stories of people showing up with a reservation at one of the “national” car rental agencies, and being told, “Sorry – no cars left.”
