Casa Sirena is a modern, privately gated beachfront home in Bucerias, Mexico. Steps to the beach, its second floor balcony with ocean view is the perfect place to start your day with breakfast, and to wind the evening down with a glass of wine by candlelight. Featuring a lush courtyard, tropical gardens and a beautiful swimming pool, this beach house provides the perfect opportunity and setting to relax. Unforgettable sunrises and sunsets await. There are two other dwellings on the property whose guests may have access to the pool and patio, but Casa Sirena has a private sitting area at the back of the house - the perfect place to read in privacy, or grill using the Weber (charcoal) grill.

Casa Sirena now boasts a third-floor, open air sundeck exclusively for Casa Sirena guests. Newly constructed in mid-2012, this deck area is one-third open to the sun for the worshippers out there, and two-thirds covered by an authentic Mexican palapa. During the day, the ocean breezes waft through; enjoy your time on the loungers, or at our lovely hand-made Mexican table in the shade. In the evening, pull up a chair, a glass of wine, and watch the twinkling lights of the marina in La Cruz as the surf washes in and your stress washes out.

This detached dwelling – this is not a condominium unit – is situated directly on spectacular beach (Playa Huanacaxtle), with miles of silky soft sand, perfect for lounging, walking or jogging – or collecting seashells. The ocean is calm and undertow free. The sand is a velvet carpet underfoot. The beach is just 12 steps from the pool.

Need to keep in touch with the office? No problem. Bring the laptop, catch up on your emails with the free (and wireless) internet service provided, turn on your Auto-Reply at 10:00 am, and go out and enjoy the sun and beauty.

More active? Casa Sirena has two bikes for touring the area. Pool floaties are provided. Bucerias, a traditional Mexican town with shopping and restaurants, is a 15 minute walk away. Surfer? Try the breaks at Sayulita or San Pancho, 15 minutes away. Golfer? Take your pick: Flamingos is a 5 minute drive, Paradise Village (El Tigre) is 10 minutes away, as is the Mayan Palace. Punta Mita Four Seasons (Nicklaus-designed) is a 20 minute drive. Vista Vallarta (home of the PGA World Cup in December 2004) is 20 minutes away, and Marina Vallarta is a scant 15 minutes.

If you like to cook, Casa Sirena is fully equipped. Shop locally! There are numerous local mini-supermarkets nearby, stocking all manner of fresh and dry goods. If you’d prefer the convenience of a modern, large supermarket, stocking everything from eggs to liquor to plasma TV’s, no problem: a new Mega store exists just outside town limits, about a 10 minute drive from the casa. A brand new Wal-Mart is 15 minutes away.

Most importantly, don’t forget the nearby charming town of Bucerias – 1 km, or a 15 minute beach walk away. This quiet Mexican fishing village retains traditional Mexican charm: friendly people, a public square where families gather in the evening with their children for ice cream, a wealth of traditional and modern restaurants alike, and just enough shopping in the market to wear you out. Looking for McDonalds, Chili’s, or KFC? You won’t find it here.

Interested in a massage, but don’t feel like leaving the casa? For one or two people at a time? We can do that! Talk to our concierge Baldo, and he will make the arrangements (cost depends on length of time and number of persons). You can have the massage in the casa, on the deck, or most popular of all, on the beach under the palapas, listening to the waves coming in!

A huge assortment of restaurants in Bucerias is within walking distance – ranging from street tacos to award-winning 4-star establishments – with many others to choose from in nearby La Cruz. Or, take a twenty minute drive into Puerto Vallarta and enjoy what the busy city has to offer for food, shopping and nightlife, while coming back to your unique vacation home in charming and quaint Bucerias to end the day.
